The Government of Canada recently launched the Community Services Recovery Fund (CSRF) to respond to the adaptation and modernization needs of charities and non-profits facing immediate and long-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic as they continue to support communities across Canada.

The Fund will be delivered through three National Funders – Community Foundations of Canada, the Canadian Red Cross and United Way Centraide Canada. These National Funders are responsible for establishing open application processes to distribute funding to eligible charities and non-profits across Canada.  Local Community Foundations across the country will be screening applications and making recommendations for Community Foundations Canada funding.

PDCF will be distributing $260,000 in Lanark County. The United Way of Eastern Ontario and the Red Cross will also be distributing funds in Lanark County. Please go to the Community Services Recovery Fund to find out more on which organizations are eligible and how to apply.

The application period opened January 6, with a firm application deadline of 8 pm Eastern Time on February 21. No applications will be accepted after that time. Funded projects will begin May 1, 2023 and should end by June 30, 2024.
