Each year, the Perth and District Community Foundation administers over $14,000 in scholarships and bursaries. These awards have been established by generous donors to the Foundation.

James Renaud, Ken Gray Memorial Scholarship

Scholarships and Bursaries Awarded at the Perth & District Collegiate Institute
Recipients were selected by the school.

Award 2023 Recipient(s) Amount Criteria
Dr. Murray R. Wilson Scholarship Alyssa Patterson $1,000 A student who is a resident of Perth, the Township of Tay Valley, Drummond/North Elmsley or Lanark Highlands and is continuing their studies at college or university or in a trades program.
Ben Rogers Memorial Bursary Hayden McLean $500 A student who is a resident of Perth, the Township of Tay Valley, Drummond/North Elmsley or Lanark Highlands and is continuing their studies at college or university or in a trades program.

Award 2023 Recipient(s) Amount Criteria
Ken Gray Memorial Scholarship $1,000 A student who has demonstrated community/school involvement and leadership skills in humanitarian activities of a volunteer nature, and is entering a university program; financial need may be a consideration.

Kiwanis Club of Perth Scholarship Christina Lafrenier ( PDCI)

$378 A student who is a resident of Perth, the Township of Tay Valley, Drummond/North Elmsley or Lanark Highlands and is continuing their studies at college or university or in a trades program.

$2,000 A student who has demonstrated community/school involvement and leadership skills in humanitarian activities of a volunteer nature and is entering a university program.

Perth Blue Wings Bursary Samuel Bourque (PDCI)
David Olney (St John)
$500 A student who is a resident of Perth, the Township of Tay Valley, Drummond/North Elmsley or Lanark Highlands and is continuing their studies at college or university or in a trades program.
Rotary Club of Perth Bursary Ella Anderson (PDCI)
Paxton Weidenfelder (St John)
$400 A student who is a resident of Perth, the Township of Tay Valley, Drummond/North Elmsley or Lanark Highlands and is continuing their studies at college or university or in a trades program.
McIntosh Perry Consulting Engineers Hayden McLean (PDCI)
Lydia Hartwick (St John)
$1,000 A student who is a resident of Perth, the Township of Tay Valley, Drummond/North Elmsley or Lanark Highlands and is continuing their studies at college or university or in a trades program.
Tay Valley History Scholarship Norah Christy (PDCI) $1,200 A student from either PDCI or St. John CHS who has been accepted into a university, college or an apprenticeship program and who has demonstrated a keen interest in history, an ability to think critically and communicate effectively, and a range of accomplishments and/or experiences including community involvement, hobbies, clubs, sports, volunteer activities, and/or work.

The recipient was selected by Tay Valley Township’s History Scholarship Committee.
